The Waterside Café is at the heart of William Wheats. Our café overlooks the beautiful Bourne Pool and makes the perfect place to relax and take in the most beautiful surroundings.
Join us for breakfast, lunch, hot & cold drinks and of course, some rather delicious treats. We offer a wide range of sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes & lots of other hot and cold tasty meals.
We are only taking bookings for Afternoon Tea. Our Café opens at 10:00am, food served until 2:30pm and drinks and cake until 3:30pm. Café closes at 4:00pm.

Afternoon Tea
Treat yourself, or your family and friends, to our traditional English Afternoon Tea! Looking out over the picturesque surroundings of Bourne Pool, enjoy Afternoon Tea with friends or family from just £22.50 per person. We have a delightful selection of savoury and sweet treats, all brought to your table by one of our lovely team.
Our Afternoon Tea includes:
- A tasty assortment of freshly made sandwiches.
- Freshly baked scones, served with clotted cream, jam and strawberries.
- A variety of mouth-watering cakes.
Served with tea & coffee – unlimited. - A complimentary glass of fizz (non-alcoholic).
- We have a gluten free and vegetarian/vegan version of our traditional Afternoon Tea too.
Our Deluxe Afternoon Tea is available Monday – Sunday, including bank holidays. Stuck for a present? We also offer gift cards for Afternoon Tea – a wonderful gift! Just call or visit to arrange. Likewise, we also offer vouchers to be used in our Café!
Booking is essential and must be arranged a minimum of 24 hours in advance. To reserve a table, please call 0121 580 8880. £5 deposit per person at time of booking. Minimum of 2 people.
Children’s Afternoon Tea
Book now and treat your little ones to their very own Afternoon Tea for £10.50 per person. Each individual tea stand includes;
- Sandwiches.
- Pom Bear crisps.
- Sausage roll.
- Two individual cakes which the children can decorate at the table.
Chose from one of our themes; Pirate, Fairy, Unicorn and Dinosaur and let us make it an afternoon to remember. Groups of up to 6 children can be accommodated.
